WHAT'S IN OUR TOOTH POWDER?

BENTONITE CLAY

What is it?

A clay made of aged volcanic ash that has been used both topically and internally for centuries by indigenous groups of Central and South America and Australia. It is also sometimes referred to as Montmorillonite clay or "healing clay."

Why do we use it?

When activated by water, bentonite clay develops a negative charge. This gives it the ability to attract positively-charged heavy metals and other unwanted bacteria and toxins and eliminate them from your mouth. It is also great for tooth remineralization by supplying our teeth with necessary nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

What kind do we use?

We use 100% pure and natural, food-grade bentonite clay that has never been heat treated or chemically processed.

KAOLIN CLAY

What is it?

A naturally occurring clay that is mined from large deposits. It is a very gentle clay that can be used for almost any condition.

Why do we use it?

Like bentonite clay, kaolin clay provides necessary trace minerals. It is a very gentle and safe clay for use on teeth. The combination of these two clays rids your mouth of what you don't want and replaces it with what you need.

What kind do we use?

We use a natural, white kaolin clay that is mined from naturally-occurring reservoirs and is water-washed.

BAKING SODA (ALUMINUM-FREE)

What is it?

Also known as sodium bicarbonate, baking soda is a common household ingredient. The natural form that we use is mined directly from reservoirs of the mineral nahcolite.

Why do we use it?

Baking soda is an excellent odor-eliminator and bacteria-killer; two of the reasons that we use it in our tooth powder! It kills the oral bacteria that cause odor in the first place, keeping your mouth odor-free. Baking soda is a gentle abrasive that can make those pearly whites even brighter.

What kind do we use?

We use all-natural, aluminum-free baking soda that is extracted by water, not chemicals!

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH

What is it?

Diatomaceous earth is made of a type of fossilized algae known as diatoms, which consist mainly of silica. These fossils are extremely old and, lucky for us, have picked up lots of trace minerals along the way.

Why do we use it?

All of those trace minerals help remineralize our teeth and the silica inhibits tooth decay and promotes healthy enamel. DE also acts as a gentle abrasive to help remove stains.

What kind do we use?

Only pure and natural, food-grade, freshwater diatomaceous earth. It is also OMRI listed, meaning that is meets organic standards as a naturally occurring substance.

PEPPERMINT LEAF POWDER

TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL

What is it?
